PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component that can smoothly maintain a mounting surface. SOLUTION: The electronic component has a capacitor 2, a metallic frame terminal 3, and first and second cores 4 and 5. The component also has a terminal 6 joined to the external electrode 2B of the capacitor 2. The terminal 6 is brought into contact with the first and second cores 4 and 5 and has deviation preventing pieces 6B2, 6C2, 6D2, and 6E2 which prevent the deviation of the first and second cores 4 and 5 from the capacitor 2. Since the electronic component is constituted in this way, the mounting surface of a noise filter can be maintained smoothly and the defective contact between the terminal 6 and the land pattern of a substrate can be prevented.
