SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING GEOMAGNETISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for measuring geomagnetism which set a geomagnetic signal at the center of input range on an A/D converter without relying on geomagnetic bearings. SOLUTION: This measuring system is provided with a 1st offset computing means 5a and a 2nd offset computing means 5b. The 1st offset computing means 5a defines the 1st offset value so that the output from a subtractor 3 is located at the center of input range on the A/D converter 4 to establish the output of a D/A converter 6. The 2nd offset computing means 5b calculates a difference between the center of the geomagnetic signal and that of the A/D converter 4's input range from the output of the A/D converter 4 when the 1st offset value is input into the D/A converter 6, then defines such a difference value as a 2nd offset value and allows sum of both the 1st and 2nd offset values to be output from the D/A converter 6, matching the center of the geomagnetic signal with the center of the A/D converter 4's input range.
