PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic icemaker that has an ice storage amount detection mechanism by a simple structure without added parts. SOLUTION: The automatic icemaker comprises an ice making tray 11 supplied with water, ice ejection guides 12 pivoted on one end of an upper face of the ice making tray 11 and serving also for ice storage amount detection, a rotary shaft 13 rotated by a motor, a plurality of ice ejecting movable tongues 14 in a row fixed on the rotary shaft 13 and movable between the ice ejection guides 12, and a control box 15 for moving the ice ejection guides 12, the movable tongues 14 and the like. The ice ejection guides 12 can have two functions of ice ejection guiding and ice storage amount detection to reduce the number of parts and thus cost of the automatic icemaker is reduced.
