PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sanitary napkin which absorbs menstrual blood quickly, shows little return of the menstrual blood to a surface of the skin side when it is pressed, and makes the color of the menstrual blood inconspicuous at the surface of the skin side since the menstrual blood is absorbed in a liquid absorbing layer. SOLUTION: A surface sheet 5 is formed by a resin film having many liquid permeating holes 5a and barrier layers 11 which are formed by resin films having many liquid permeating holes 11a exist between the surface sheet 5 and the liquid absorbing layer 7. The barrier layers 11 are formed in belt shapes and liquid passing regions 12 are formed between the adjacent barrier layers 11. The menstrual blood which passes through the liquid permeating holes 5a of the surface sheet 5 is absorbed by the liquid absorbing layer 7 through the liquid passing regions 12.
