PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal damage of a water sump due to heating of an electric heater. SOLUTION: This dishwasher is provided with a thermal insulation gutter made of a steel plate including stainless steel, fitted in a water sump part 5 and placed with its inside in contact with the inner bottom face of the water sump part, the electric heater 7 provided in the thermal insulation gutter upward separated from the bottom, a thermal insulation cover 24 made of a steel plate including a stainless steel put on the thermal insulation gutter to cover the electric heater, a bottom temperature switch 12 provided in the outer bottom side of the thermal insulation gutter, detecting the temperature transmitted from the electric heater and cutting off the energization of the electric heater, and a side temperature switch 23 provided in the upper part outside the water sump part, detecting the temperature of the upper side of the upper part and cutting off the energization of the electric heater.
