PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end part of an electronic endoscope which facilitates work of connecting a signal wire pulled out from a signal cable to a connecting terminal on a circuit board by soldering or the like without the leakage of current to adjacent connecting terminals if the size of the circuit board is reduced and is excellent in terms of preventing the breaking of the wires because of few sharp curves of the signal wire. SOLUTION: In the distal end part of the electronic endoscope, a solid-state image sensor 7 and the circuit board 10 are embedded in the distal end of an insertion part 1, and a plurality of signal wires 16 pulled out of the distal end of the signal cable 15 inserted in the insertion part 1 in parallel with the axis line are connected to a plurality of connecting terminals 17 provided on the circuit board 10. A square-shaped signal wire joint 10a is provided on the circuit board 10 in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the distal end part of the insertion part 1, and the plurality of the connecting terminals 17 are evenly disposed on each of four sides of the signal wire joint 10a.
