<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth magnet material having excellent properties which is in the shape of coarse powder having the average grain diameter of 10 μm or above and has a good anti-corrosion property and never decreases its coercive force rapidly even under excessive nitriding and tends to exhibit stable magnetic properties. <P>SOLUTION: The rare earth magnet material has a composition expressed as R<SB>x</SB>T<SB>100-x-y-z</SB>Al<SB>y</SB>M<SB>z</SB>N<SB>w</SB>, where R is one or two or more kinds of lanthanoids containing Sm by 70% or above, T is Fe or Fe and Co, M is one or two or more kinds of elements selected among Si, Zr, Y, Hf, Ti, Nb, Cr, V, and Mo, 5≤x≤20, 2≤y≤10, 0≤z≤10, and 15≤w≤25, and has the shape of coarse powder having the average grain diameter of 10 μm or above. The rare earth magnet material has the anisotropy, and has a structure divided in terms of phase into a compound having the R<SB>2</SB>-T<SB>17</SB>-N structure and an amorphous phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
