<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving medium cooling device for effectively supplying cooling energy to a moving medium. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling roller 20 is a hollow roller, stores cooling liquid 200 inside, and rotates. The cooling liquid 200 has a specific gravity larger than that of the air and magnetism, and is stored downward inside the cooling roller 20 by gravity. Magnetic field generating sections 24 have two annular magnets 241, are arranged around respective ends of the cooling roller 20, and keep the cooling liquid 200 inside the cooling roller 20 with magnetic repulsion force. The moving medium 19 conveyed to the rotating cooling roller 20 and facing roller 25 are conveyed from paper surface depth side to the front side. The heat of the moving medium 19 moves to the cooling roller 20 by contacting with the cooling roller 20, and is transmitted to the cooling liquid 200 inside the cooling roller 20. The heat of the cooling liquid 200 made to flow by a pump 230 is released by a heat radiation section 231, thereby cooling the moving medium 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
