<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for shortening the rise time, by regulating an energization amount to a prescribed fixing heater from among a plurality of the fixing heaters in the rising mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 performs power control processing for reducing the energized amount to a first fixing heater 6a heating a first fixing roller of a comparatively large capacity from among the two fixing heaters 6a and 6b down to only the electrical energy necessary for energization to load, except for the fixing heaters 6a and 6b, by controlling the on/off signal output from a control part 10 to triacs 23 and 24, when energization to load except for the fixing heaters 6a and 6b is conducted. Thus, energization to the fixing heaters 6a and 6b is efficiently performed, while properly securing the energization amount to load, except for the fixing heaters, power can be efficiently used and the rise time is shortened to improve usability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
