<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure code orthogonality, even if a spreading factor is different, when performing two-dimensional spreading in the direction of the frequency axis and the direction of the time base, and to optimize spreading factors in the direction of the frequency axis and in the direction of the time base for each code, while ensuring code orthogonality. <P>SOLUTION: When performing two-dimensional spreading in the direction of the frequency base and in the direction of the time base, a one-dimensional orthogonal variable spreading factor (OVSF), constructed from a code tree, is expanded in a two-dimensional manner so as to be applied simultaneously in both the direction of frequency base and the direction of time base. For example, in two-dimensional spread sections 1-1 to 1-8, first, transmission data are spread in the direction of the frequency axis, using a one-dimensional OVSF code (given by the frequency-axis direction OVSF code allocating section 11) and further, a result thereof is spread in the direction of time base, using a one-dimensional OVSF code (given by a time-base direction OVSF code allocating section 13 and selected independently of the frequency-axis direction). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
