PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone which enables the registration, change, delete, etc. of telephone directory data to be executed in all terminals by a one-touch simple operation. SOLUTION: The cordless telephone comprises a plurality of terminals each including, e.g., one master unit and one or a plurality of slave units. Each terminal has a memory for storing telephone directory data. When a user makes a work input to the telephone directory data such as registration, edition, delete, etc. of the directory data; the device detects it and executes a process corresponding to the work input for the directory data stored in the memory of the related terminal. In addition to this, it sends processed data to all other terminals for showing the process contents corresponding to the work input. The terminal having received processed data from the other terminal executes the same process as the executed process of the directory data in the terminal at the sending side, on the basis of the processed data. This results in the same condition of the directory data in the receive side terminal as that of the directory data in the terminal to which the user made the work input, thus ensuring the synchronization of the telephone directory data.
