PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminator capable of beautifully finishing lamination treatment without performing end edge treatment after the lamination treatment to a medium to be recorded. SOLUTION: A laminating material having a size larger than that of the medium to be recorded is superposed on the medium to be recorded so as to cover the same and bonded to the medium to be recorded under heating and pressure to transfer a laminated layer to the material to be transferred arranged on the side of the surface opposite to the recording surface of the medium to be recorded by the quantity protruded from the medium to be recorded. If the material to be transferred is successively separated toward the opposite surface of the medium to be recorded along the direction inclined to the end edge of the medium to be recorded, the laminated layer is drawn toward the opposite surface of the medium to be recorded and, as a result, the end edge of the laminated layer formed on the recording surface of the medium to be recorded becomes beautiful along the end edge of the laminated layer.
