DATA INPUT/OUTPUT PROCESSING METHOD IN COMPUTER SYSTEM, STORAGE DEVICE, HOST COMPUTER, AND COMPUTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high performance of input/output processing in a computer system. SOLUTION: At least one logical volume is provided in a storage device 13 connected to a host computer 12 through a network 17, and first and second different paths which are paths peculiar to the logical volume are assigned to the logical volume. The storage device 13 is provided with a means for performing data input/output processing on the logical volume specified by the first path when accepting a request for data input/output processing by the first path from the host computer 12 and a means for performing prescribed processing before accepted input/output processing and then performing data input/output processing on the logical volume specified by the second path, when accepting a request for data input/output processing by the second path from the host computer 12.
