PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which when a clock circuit attached to a microcomputer breaks down during heating operation by a microwave, the microwave continues abnormal heating of an object to be heated. SOLUTION: A controller is provided with an operation part 1, a microcomputer 4, a latch circuit 5, and a pulse smoothing circuit 7. Heating does not start, because the latch circuit 5 does not work unless an operation start switch 2 is pressed. When the clock circuit and the like attached to the microcomputer 4 breaks down during heating, the pulse smoothing circuit 7 does not work, so that the heating of the object to be heated is suspended, therefore, abnormal heating of the object to be heated is prevented and safety is increased.
