PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card that allows achieving a simple interface with fast, safe data access performance and that allows extending the life of a nonvolatile memory used as a main memory; a device having a nonvolatile memory; and a memory controller. SOLUTION: The memory card with a memory module having a NAND flash ROM 18 and a FeRAM 20 uses the NAND flash ROM 18 as its main memory and the FeRAM 20 as the cache memory of the main memory.
