PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material which is superior in dot reproducibility and ensuring small density and white background variations in continuous processing, when a color image for proofreading (color proof) is produced. SOLUTION: In the image forming method for the silver halide photographic sensitive material for producing a color proof, at least one compound of Formula (1) is contained in a black developing layer of the silver halide photographic sensitive material, and at least one coupler is contained in a cyan coloring layer.
