PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation of closing a document cover to a document-mounting platen by preventing the document cover from focibly falling to the document mounting platen. SOLUTION: A cover-side buffering part 600 is provided on the lower face part 110a of the document cover 110. At a part out of the document-mounting platen 120 in a body part 200, a body side buffering part 700, having magnetic force repulsed to magnetic force of the cover side buffering part 600, is provided at respective positions opposed to the cover side buffering part 600. The cover side buffering part 600 and the body-side buffering part 700 are set so as to have the same pole magnetic force. Thereby, the document cover 110 is closed to the document-mounting platen 120, when the cover side buffering part 600, and the body side buffering part 700 approach, up to the range in which the magnetic forces mutually repulses, the document cover 110 repulses from the upper part of the body part 200 by the magnetic force repulsion, and the document cover 110 will not forcibly be brought into contact with the document-mounting platen 120.
