PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turnbuckle capable of avoiding a tightening force from being loosened by assuring fastening condition. SOLUTION: The turnbuckle used for forming a brace by pulling a tie rod comprises a retention frame; a screw rod screwed on the retention frame movably back and forth and provided with a non-circular protuberance extended at tip part; and a lock bed having a non-circular through hole formed on the extension axis of the screw rod into/from which hole the non-circular protuberance can be inserted/withdrawn in the relatively non-rotatable state and movably provided on the retention frame for insertion/withdrawal of the non-circular protuberance into/from the non-circular through hole. A series of hook holes are formed along the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface of the non-circular protuberance. The stop bed is provided with a first hook means capable of being at least partially protruded from interior surface of the non-circular through hole elastically hooked with one of the hook holes when the non-circular through hole is fitted with the non-circular protuberance.
