PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier plate with leg portions having high strength, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The carrier plate comprises a plate portion 14 for supporting a gear and the plurality of leg portions 12 provided integrally therewith extending from the plate portion in the axial direction. The leg portions of the carrier plate are constituted by a plurality of wall portions. The wall portions each consist of an outer wall 12o protruding to the outer extension of the carrier plate portion and an inner wall 12i protruding to the inner edge of the carrier plate portion.
