PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power generation device for securing a large amount of water flow, while avoiding trouble in generating power with a small amount of water in a water supply system with an electric drive unit. SOLUTION: The hydraulic power generation device 1 comprises a housing 2 having a primary side water supply pipe connection port 21 at one end and a secondary side water supply pipe connection port 22 at the other end, which includes a main flow path 31 passing through both connection ports 21, 22, a generation unit 4 for generating power using the pressure of water flowing in the main flow path 31, bypass lines 32A, 32B for bypassing the main flow path 31 to guide part of the water flowing from the primary side water supply pipe connection port 21 into the secondary side water supply pipe connection port 22, and on-off valves 5A, 5B for opening/closing the bypass lines 32A, 32B depending on an increase/reduction in primary side pressure.
