<p>The motor assembly involves concentrically machining first and second concentric bores in each of first and second housing parts, providing a precision outer diameter for a stator, securing the stator in the first bore of the first housing part, and placing first bearings in the second concentric bores of the first and second housing parts. The method then involves making a subassembly by securing a rotor to a shaft and locating second bearings on said shaft on each side of the rotor, placing the rotor in the stator and one of the second bearings in the first bearing located in the second bore of the first housing part, and assembling the first and second housing parts in a sealed relationship such that the stator is received in the first bore of said second housing part and the other one of the second bearings in the first bearing located in the second bore of the second housing part.</p> |
