摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery capable of improving the utilization factor of an active material. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode plate 4 and a negative electrode plate 5, wherein an expand lattice 2 is filled with an active material 3 are alternately laminated with a separator 6 in-between, to form an electrode plate group 7. An node part at the expand lattice 2 of the electrode plate 5 positioned at the end part, in the laminating direction, of the electrode plate group 7 is made thinner than the node part at the expand lattice 2 of the electrode plates 4 and 5 positioned at other parts of the electrode plate group 7. The active material 3 is packed thinner in the expand lattice 2 of the electrode plate 5 positioned at the end part, in the lamination direction, of the electrode end plate group 7, than in the expanded lattice 2 of the electrode plates 4 and 5 positioned at other parts of the electrode plate group 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
