<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a certain UNI section by other devices, by informing other similar devices connected via a transmission path of the transmission path hindrance information of a UNIIF section. SOLUTION: This protocol converter possesses a circuit trouble detector which detects occurrence of circuit trouble, a trouble information informing device which transmits the occurrence of circuit trouble detected to an external device, a trouble information receiver which receives the circuit trouble information transmitted from an external device, a controller which executes predesignated control processing, according to the circuit trouble information detected by the circuit trouble detector and the circuit trouble information transmitted from an external device, and a storage which stores the relation between the classification of the circuit trouble and the control contents executed by the controller. This will transmit the trouble information to other protocol converter, when it receives trouble in the UNIIF section. The device, having received the trouble information, selectively performs control, such as compulsive insertion of bit errors of the UNIIF part of own device, stoppage of a transmission signal, notification to a maintenance personnel by LED or the like, etc.</p> |
