Polyolefincontaining wipes

New wipes (I) are obtained by permanent hydrophilization of polyolefin-containing materials with a hydrophilic additive, then impregnating a non-woven prepared from the material with a spinning preparation, aqueous solution and/or aqueous emulsion. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (I) by the above procedure; and (2) the use of permanently hydrophilized polyolefin materials for preparing impregnated wipes.
