USE OF MELAMINE RESIN FOILS AND/OR FILMS FOR COATING THREE-DIMENSIONALLY STRUCTURED SURFACES AND/OR MOULDED BODIES

Use of melamine resin films for coating three-dimensional surfaced cellulosic fiber products or moldings, the films being obtained from an aqueous solution comprising: (1) a melamine-formaldehyde (MF) condensate; (2) an etherified MF condensate; and (3) a polymer dispersion. An Independent claim is also included for a resin mixture for impregnating cellulosic fiber materials, the mixture comprising by weight (1) a melamine-formaldehyde (MF) condensate (5-50%); (2) an etherified MF condensate (5-50%); and (3) a polymer dispersion (40-90%).
