PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a polytetrafluoroethylene-containing powder which inhibits clogging of the airstream pipe of a flash dryer and can stably produce the polytetrafluoroethylene-containing powder. SOLUTION: In the process for producing the polytetrafluoroethylene-containing powder by adding a coagulant to an aqueous dispersion containing polyterafluoroethylene, coagulating the solid content in the aqueous dispersion to form a slurry, dehydrating this slurry to a wet powder, and drying the wet powder in a flash dryer 10, the water content of the wet powder discharged from the flash dryer 10 is rendered to≤40 mass%.
