Method for validation of coins

Coin checking method in which an inductive sensor is used with a transmission and a receiving coil whose field is crossed by a coin. Accordingly: a periodic transmission signal is fed to the transmission coil; the resultant receiver signal detected during a given measurement period and its amplitude measured at given times and; the resultant curve or function compared with characteristic values to provide a feedback signal relating to a tested coin. The invention also relates to a corresponding coin testing device.
