ENVELOPE OFFSET APPARATUS

In a stacker apparatus for stacking mail pieces, an offset apparatus is included to cause lateral registration of a vertically oriented mail piece t o a preselected side registration wall. The offset apparatus is comprised of a generally conical elastomer roller which is fastened to the shaft of a drive motor. The roller engages the bottom edge of a mail piece in order to urge the mail piece towards a preselected side registration wall.
