The proteector (12) for a series of stacked containers (102, 104, 106, 108), each comprising a base with side walls that rest one on top of another and corner anchoring points, consists of individual supple covers (12) that rest on crossbars placed across the containers' open tops. The cover over the top container (108) is made large enough to cover the upper half of the container beneath it. Gaps between lower containers are fitted with plastic strips.
