The tyre has an internal puncture-resistant sole (1) and a support (2) to allow flat-running, and an outer sidewall protector (3) with teeth, fins or vanes. The sole is made from a web of double steel wires or a supple steel plate inside a 7 - 10 mm layer of rubber or elastomer and covers the whole inner surface of the tyre tread. It can be fixed or removable, having ends chamfered at 20 degrees for convenient fitting and removal. The inner support is of rubber or supple elastomer, covering the sole and ensuring a seal. The side wall protector increases the tread width and provides additional grip.
