The exerciser has two pedals (20,30), each having a mounting portion (21,31) pivotably mounted to two tubes extending from a post (15) on a base (10). Two cylinders (24) are connected between the two pedals and base. An idle wheel (16) is connected to the post. A cable (17) reeves through the periphery of the idle wheel. The two ends of the cable are respectively fixed to the two pedals. The tubes are extended from the post in V-shaped arrangement. Each cylinder has a U-shaped connector (40) pivotably coupled to a support (13) on the base, such that the U-shaped connectors can be pivoted in vertical directions relative to the supports on the base. One end of each cylinder is capable of pivoting in horizontal direction.
