PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic measure device having a simple structure, and capable of preventing wrong measurement. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of: a measuring tape wound around the reel peripheral surface of a reel-shaped rotator installed rotatably in a case body, drawable from a tape draw-out hole of the case body; a spring means for rewinding the tape wound up and drawn out by rotation of the rotator; a photodetector mounted on the rotator, for detecting passage of a marking caused by rotation of a marking disk having markings applied thereto at each fixed rotation angle; a counter for counting the number of output pulses of photodetection; a storage means for storing temporarily a plurality of calculated values of the length calculated by a calculation means for calculating the length drawn out from the draw-out hole of the tape based on a prescribed calculation formula set beforehand wherein the number of output pulses is used as a variable; a display means for displaying digitally the plurality of calculated values stored in the storage means; and a mode switching means for switching selectively between a single measuring mode and a ratio measuring mode.
