PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality transmission method that uses a differential transmission circuit to transmit both occurrence of abnormality and content of it. SOLUTION: When an abnormality detecting circuit 9 detects occurrence of abnormality at a transmission side device 1 when transmitting signals using a plurality of differential transmission circuits, it makes a transmission line 4 of the differential transmission circuit to be floating state and transmits the abnormality content transmission signal to two transmission lines. If occurrence of abnormality is detected at a reception side device 3, reception circuits 3A-3C latch the abnormality content transmission signal from one of the two transmission lines of signal transmission lines 5A-5c.
