PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CRT display which has an enlarged display screen (cabinet) and a thinned cabinet and easily and cheaply prevents the top plate of the cabinet from sagging. SOLUTION: Reinforcing ribs 111a, 111b formed on the top plate of a front cabinet 11 are partly extended like a plate to form top plate sagging preventing ribs 23a, 23b. Even in the condition of a load exerted on the top plate 11a of the front cabinet 11, the top plate sagging preventing ribs 23a, 23b and a CRT display tube 15 support the load to prevent the top plate 11a from sagging.
