PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which can cope with the high speed of the rotational speed of a hub(tape reel) and which is low in cost and which is excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: A housing 77 which houses a magnetic member 76 which is to be magnetically attracted to a reel rotation driving shaft 81 is formed in the inside of a hub 57 (tape reel 56) which is housed to be rotatable in a cartridge case in which a magnetic tape is loaded by being wounded. As a result, when the tape reel 56 rotates, since the magnetic member 76 which is mounted in the hub 57 is magnetically attracted to a permanent magnet existing at the upper end of the rotation driving shaft 81 to maintain the tightly adhered state between the reel 56 and the shaft 81, stability at the time of the high speed rotation of the reel 56 is made to be raised. In this case, since the tape reel has constitution in which the magnetic member 76 is mounted in the hub 57, product management loads, such as rust proofing, falling off are reducible and thus the tape reel can be manufactured at low cost and also with high productivity.
