PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a treatment tank, and to decrease treatment liquid, by shortening the length of the treatment tank and shallowing the depth of the treatment tank. SOLUTION: The carrying device comprises: a fixed side rail 3 and a moving side rail 4 provided so as to transfer a carrier 2 fixing a carried article W, and guiding the carrier 2 so as to travel; a traveling drive device 6 traveling the carrier 2 along the rails 3 4; a cage 5 ascended/descended by an ascending/descending device 7 and rotated by a rotating device 8, and supporting the moving side rail 4; a carrier lock device 9 fixing the carrier 2 and the cage 5; and the treatment tank 12 storing the treatment liquid 11 for electrolytic coating. The carrier 2 transferred to the moving side rail 4 is fixed to the cage 5 by the carrier lock device 9. The carried article W is put in/take out from the treatment tank 12 while rotating action by the rotation device 8 and descending and ascending action by the ascending/descending device 7 are simultaneously carried out.
