PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine which can be miniaturized and can mold a product of good quality. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine has a material supply cylinder 15 which is set at a position adjacent to openable/closable molds 9 and 10 and has a material passage 16 with both ends opened for supplying a molten resin material 17a into the molds 9 and 10 through a first end part opening 16a adjacent to the molds 9 and 10, a driving means 18 inserting/discharging a lengthy resin material 17 having an outside diameter equal to the inside diameter of the material passage 16 into the material passage 16 of the materia supply cylinder 15 through a second end part opening 16b on the side not facing the molds 9 and 10, and a heating means 21 for melting the resin material 17 housed in the material passage 16 of the material supply cylinder 15.
