PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for nonferrous molten metal which has excellent erosion resistance, thermal shock resistance or the like, and in which the part to be exposed to high temperature other than the part to be contacted with molten metal has excellent oxidation resistance. SOLUTION: This member is used in a state of being contacted with nonferrous molten metal, and is characterized in that at least a part of the inner surface to be contacted with nonferrous molten metal is formed of a high speed steel-based alloy, and further, an external layer composed of a metallic material having excellent oxidation resistance is fitted to the outside of the member. The high speed steel-based alloy has the chemical components of, by mass, 1.0 to 4.0% C, 0.1 to 2.0% Si, 0.1 to 2.0% Mn,≤4.5% Ni,≤10.0% Cr, 0.1 to 9.0% Mo,≤10.0% W and 1.0 to 15.0% V, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
