FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a methods used for preparing oxygen-containing gasoline component that can be used as addition to gasoline for enhancing the octane number value. Method for preparing ethyl-tert.-butyl ester involves interaction of isobutylene comprising in butylenes-butadiene fraction and ethyl alcohol in ion-exchange catalyst. Method is carried out for two steps with recirculation of cooling flow to the first stage of esterification and the following rectification of reaction mixture of the second esterification stage to form butylenes-butadiene fraction.
