<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a norbornene-based ring-opened polymer excellent in oxidation resistance, solution stability and low birefringent property, and having excellent strength when sebum sticks thereon. <P>SOLUTION: The norbornene-based ring-opened polymer has three kinds of recurring units and the ratios of each recurring unit satisfy specific expressions, wherein the ratio of recurring units having carbon-carbon double bond in the main chain and side chain structure is ≤10 mol%. The method for producing the norbornene-based ring-opened copolymer comprises a step of ring-opening polymerization of tree kinds of norbornene-based monomers in the presence of a metathesis polymerization catalyst and a step of hydrogenating ≥90% carbon-carbon double bond in aromatic rings of the side chain of the ring-opened polymer and hydrogenating ≥98% carbon-carbon double bond in the main chain structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
