PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium having a data management structure which can determine efficiently whether an outline image which shows an outline for an original image and character information which shows additional content are added, and to provide a moving video voice recording and reproducing apparatus which improves operability for search of a recorded original image by generating an outline image from the original image and outputting it even if the outline image is not added. SOLUTION: In the image storage medium, moving video and a sound signal are generated electronically, coding compression processing is performed to the moving video and the sound signal, conversion is performed into compressed moving video audio data, and recording is performed with a recording means. The image storage medium is characterized by recording small screen recording information which shows an image showing an outline of the moving video and the sound signal, or shows recording location information of character information which shows additional content regarding the image, or by recording small screen recording information which shows the matter that the image showing an outline and the character information are not set by a user or a system.
