PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective evaluation method capable of discriminating a fuel oil causing a trouble in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A bunker oil (fuel oil) is added to a lubricating oil and used as a sample. The addition rate of the bunker oil is 1-30% of the lubricating oil. The sample is injected into a glass tube having the inner diameter of 2 mm and the length of 300 mm. The glass tube is heated, and the heating temperature is 160-250°C. Air is injected into the glass tube, and allowed to pass for 8 hours with the sample flow rate of 0.6 cc/hour. Then, the bunker oil is evaluated based on adhesives in the glass tube.
