PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame sensor capable of reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: In this flame sensor comprising an infrared ray sensor 13, and a microprocessor 30 performing A/D conversion on an output signal of the infrared ray sensor at a specific period and inputting the same to detect the flame on the basis of an input output signal. The microprocessor comprises a high-speed clock 37 and a low-speed clock 36 as clock supply sources to use the high-speed clock 37 in the A/D converting operation and the low-speed clock 36 in the flame detection processing operation.
