PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new type insecticide that contains, as an active ingredient, a known, natural and eco-friendly substance that specifically acts on harmful insects and has excellent insecticidal properties with immediate effectiveness. SOLUTION: This insecticide comprises, as active ingredients, a plurality of components selected from natural cashew extract (main components are anacardic acid and aldol), tobacco extract (a main component is nicotine), Aomori khiva oil [a main component is hinokitiol (β-thujaplicin)].
