PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic container where the strength of an inner tray against falling is improved, which is sanitary, where a powder puff etc. is never dropped when replacing the inner tray etc., and which requires no adhesive. SOLUTION: The cosmetic container is provided with: a container main body 1 having a cosmetic tray housing recess part 1a formed on its top surface; a cover 2 for covering the top surface of the main body 1; and the cosmetic tray 3 housed detachably in the recess part 1a of the main body 1. Then, at the lower part of the recess part 1a of the main body 1, a through hole through which the cosmetic tray 3 can be put is bored. A lower cover part 7 for covering the through hole at the recess part 1a in an openable and closable manner is provided at the main body 1. Thus, in the state of closing the through hole at the recess part 1a with the lower cover part 7, the cosmetic tray 3 is placed on the lower cover part 7 to be housed and fixed inside of the recess part 1a.
