SCANNER SYSTEMS

A scanner system including a photoreceptor, a plurality of laser beams, a scanning reflecting surface that receives the plurality of beams and directs them as scanning beams toward the photoreceptor and an aperture adjacent to the reflecting surface. As a single beam scans along the photoreceptor surface, a focal surface of the beam has a given deviation as a function of the scan position. The positions of the various beams at the reflecting surface are different due to a placement of the aperture and additional deviation of the plurality of beams in the focal surface caused by said placement is less than the given deviation.
