<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system performing broadcast transmission in which the terminals receiving broadcast transmission can be altered dynamically without relying upon a special protocol. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system (1) comprises a server (3) for transmitting a program by broadcast transmission, terminals (2) for receiving the broadcast program, and a system server (4). The terminal (2) has an IP address as an identifier and the terminal (2) receiving the broadcast program is indicated by the identifier. Identifier of the terminal (2) is variable and the terminal (2) can switch the receiving program by altering the identifier.
