<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream transmitting device capable of transmitting a stream including time information from a device connected to a first network to a device connected to a second network so as not to be affected by a timing error. <P>SOLUTION: The stream is stored in a buffer 3, timing for reading each packet from the buffer 3 and outputting the packet to an IEEE1394 network and a time stamp to be added to the stream at the time of IEEE1394 network transmission are calculated on the basis of difference between two continuous pieces of time information included in the stream and difference of a stream data amount existing between the two pieces of time information, and a correction value calculated on the basis of a data amount stored in the buffer 3 is used to correct stream transmission timing, thereby eliminating timing fluctuations, subsequently transmitting a stream applied with the fluctuation of transmission/reception timing to the IEEE1394 network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
