PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed storage battery having a switch capable of interrupting and connecting a charge current by a pressure change in the battery when charging it, enabling judgement to suppress deterioration of its performance, and enabling its use without waiting after charging is finished. SOLUTION: This sealed storage battery, in which a pressure switch function to switch on a circuit connecting an electrode plate to an external terminal when the internal pressure of the battery is not more than a first specified value, and to cut off the circuit when the internal pressure exceeds the first specified value is give to the circuit, is given a function to stop the pressure switch when the internal pressure of the battery exceeds a second specified value set to a value exceeding the first specified value, and to keep the circuit in a cut off state.
