PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut type suspension capable of reducing a left and right difference of a moment arm length change at the time of a left and right in-phase suspension stroke. SOLUTION: This strut type suspension is furnished with a shock absorber 30, an upper spring sheet 42a, a lower spring sheet 42b and a coil spring 40, and a coil axis of the coil spring 40 is in a torsional relationship with a king pin axis KP. An axis C2 on the lower side of the coil spring is on the front side of a vehicle relative to an absorber axis in a top view seen from above in the absorber axial direction and a straight line Y to connect an axis C1 on the upper side of the coil spring and the absorber axis exists in a direction turned by 40 to 50 degrees in the vehicle outside direction around the absorber axis relative to a straight line T to connect the axis C2 on the lower side of the coil spring and the absorber axis to each other.
